    Hey. Welcome to my profile. My name is Toph Bei Fong. I was blind since death. I am thirteen years old.Now, about myself...Blind since birth, Toph was born and raised in Witch’s Cauldron. Her parents, upper-class fruit merchants, own land outside the city, but reside within the relative safety of the city walls along the upper rim. Since she was a little girl, she played and worked in the fields, later selling fruit at the market within the city. After a chance meeting with the mysterious hermit only known as Hezzit, she began to train under him, learning about the nature of earth, and exerting control upon it to bend it to one’s will.<br />

    What is it that this wizened recluse sees in the blind girl? Is it because she is blind, or because he sees something else within her? Her family has lived in the Cauldron for a long time. Perhaps it is a matter of blood.<br />

    Toph sees only a world of darkness, though she has some perception of light, with a flittering of shadows now and again. Instead she focuses upon vibrations in the ground, distinct enough to identify people by their gait, and interpreting their actions by body motions.<br />
    <br />
    Following her death, master hermit Hezzit divines something has occurred, and comes ultimately to collect her corpse. He revives her, and with nothing more than the furrowed brow of a master for his pupil, convinces her to resume training, in the abode hidden amongst the hills.<br />

    Time passes, and Toph decides it is time to check on her adventuring mate<br />
    Toph Bei Fong, usually referred to as simply Toph, is an Earthbending master. Blind since birth, Toph was constantly looked down upon for her disability and her stature as an innocent little girl, especially by her over-protective parents. Upon discovering Badgermoles, earth-dwelling animals who were blind just like her, she learned through them to use Earthbending as an extension of her senses and effectively give her "sight" through vibrations in the ground.<br />
    <br />
    Known as the "Blind Bandit", she mastered Earthbending through her own style and developed a tough-guy personality, becoming infamous by winning underground Earthbending tournaments behind her parents' backs. Uninterested at first, she chooses to leave behind her old life and travel with Avatar Aang and friends to be his Earthbending teacher. Toph's mastery over earth, especially with Metalbending, as well as her unique personality, proved her to be an invaluable addition to the Avatar's group. <br />
    "I love fighting. I love being an Earthbender. And I'm really, really good at it. I know you were just trying to protect me, but I'm twelve years old and I've never had a real friend."<br />
