Born to radical international eco-terrorist, Ra's al Ghul, Talia has traveled the world with her father learning from his intellect and skills. Long since proving herself more competent than any of the other al Ghul children, she excelled in managing his criminal and legitimate operations and was eventually appointed as Ghul's primary secondary, despite her father's belief of the female inferiority.

During an internal dispute between the organization "League of Assassins" and Ra's, Talia was pulled into the quarrel and threatened by Dr. Darkk. Her rescue by the Batman sparked a very deep interest for the detective that bordered on obsessive infatuation. Overjoyed at finding a suitable heir, Ra's deeply supports the relationship between his daughter and Batman but the extreme difference between the two men in her life provides Talia with a sense of conflict.

After many deaths and rebirths, not all her own, Talia has found her on-going struggle weary and hopes the birth of her son, Damian, will assist in sealing her choice between the two lives long-since presented as her only options.

It does not go as planned.

Even more alone than before, with her son pit against her in the hands of her former beloved and the ever-increasing instability of her father's sanity, Talia has decided a change is in order. A new path must be carved by her own hands.

Disillusioned from her father and his plans as well as sufficiently exhausted of only being known as the occasional lover and enemy of the Batman, Talia has begun work in excelling her personal business career and attempting to find a resemblance to happiness.

"Humanity, Father. Something that can be lost... When a man is as insanely driven as you are..."
