Somewhere between life and death
The world seems to hold its breath
The middle ground of lost and found
Where the rustling wind makes no sound
On this plain there roams a guide
The lantern man walks with a steady stride
For showing the way, he asks no fee
And gives his company for free
He comforts us along our journey
Before we reach our judge and jury
For this act of kindness I do give
This little poem as a commemorative
