Description:
Dryads are tree nymphs in Greek mythology. They were normally considered to be very shy creatures, except around the goddess Artemis, who was known to be a friend to most nymphs. They were usually depicted as young maidens with garlands decorating their hair. They were not immortal, though their lifespan exceeded a human's tenfold, and they kept their radiant looks until death.
