Description: Kikyo was a shrine maiden during the Feudal era of Japan, a time known to harbor demons. She was protector of the Shikon Jewel and at one point was the main love interest of half-demon/half-human Inuyasha. Being deceived by a heinous demon Naraku she died and was resurrected by the demon ogress Urasue. She collects souls of the dead to maintain her undead form using her Soul Collectors and plots to destroy Naraku.

[2/2] I'm not the best at doing backgrounds if I'm being honest lol. XD The reasoning I chose this one is simply because when she is collecting souls it is at night and in the woods so that's the only reason for this really. I'm sure there are probably others out there that are better so I'll have to look. Thanks for the feedback!

@Misfortuned Checkmate [1/2] Ah yes I should have put a bow lol I realize I forgot about that. For the hair color unfortunately her hair color is... an odd one since its a raven color and there is a black alternate which I had used first but the color just doesn't feel right either so I opted to this one instead that and the hair I used for this is super limited in colors being that it doesn't even come in basic black but the offblack shown here.

@Yozurina I'm not sure what set you're referring to? Kikyo's eyes are rather slanted so those eyes you mentioned do not match her at all. I really dislike those eyes you mentioned unfortunately because they're dated in quality too. The hair I used is featuring when her hair is pulled back which is what was showcased in one of the references I used as well which you can't see exactly well since she is facing forward but she does have a ponytail.

Misfortuned Checkmate - 12/09/2018
A very nice take on Kikyo, but some nitpicks I'd like to address. 1)The miiko set you've used is very good, but you could have added an item to make the bow would show on front for the hakama. 2) I do see that you've decided to utilize the pulled-back hairstyle, but I feel that the haircolor could have been changed to a more jet-black hairstyle since there is recolors for the combo you've picked. 3) The background is nice, but I think a different choice of background would work better.

The avatar could have been achieved without a set and the hair could have been a lot better as well, since Kikyo's hair is long as seen in the reference images you provided...

Also try a different pair of eyes, some that're more anime-like, such as Kanoko or Majoko. Adding a nose can be a big help too! You tried but there's definitely room for improvement.

Ah yes... she isn't the most pleasant of characters but at the same time I suppose its understandable she is the way she is due to what happened to her let alone how she died. Still though thanks for the compliments!
