Sub-Zero is a fictional video game character. A mainstay of the Mortal Kombat series, Sub-Zero is the only character in the series to be playable in every game. He also appears in many other Mortal Kombat media works such as the Mortal Kombat live action film series and cartoons. In the fighting games, there are two incarnations of the Sub-Zero character. The Sub-Zero that appears in the first Mortal Kombat is the older brother of the one that appears in Mortal Kombat II.
