When a Chozo was corrupted by Phazon, they went insane. They killed their own.Some assumed death would free them from the deadly substance, the dead being the lucky ones. They were wrong. They pressed on, even in death, due to the Phazon.
They are called Chozo Ghosts, and they are stuck in their ruins until Samus 'kills' them again. Only then are they free. - Date: 01/04/2009
