Q: You're cosplaying a lamp?
A: No. I just wanted to show it's a legit color combination for a lamp.

A: I know. But sticking something on it to cover it up is a fire hazard.
Q: Why is the shade blue?
A: I like it. There is a yellow-tan umbrella in Furugasa that's more evocative of the typical lampshade, but I found the red and brown parts distracting. This way, it doesn't clash with the base at least. - Date: 10/20/2010

- I find this truly ironic as well, people boast about "NO ORIGINALITY IN THE COSPLAY ARENA'S THESE DAYS" but then when someone does post something that hasn't been cosplayed before "THAT DOESNT BELONG IN THIS ARENA". Bloody Hypocrites.
