There is no technicality about it. Danzo "IS" the 6th Hokage, it goes down in records. Even if it's short lived - Report As Spam

- technically he isn't considered a Kage, because he was a Kage for only a short amount of time before going all backstabby and whatnot. Quite frankly they should've chosen Ka-sensei as Kage. Screw the fact that he was the 4th's pupil, that has nothing to do with it!! In fact, it was probably best that way.
