- Artist: Fallen Love Freak
- Description: Matt enjoys video games and isn't outgoing. He is a chain smoker. He is also behind Near and Mello in succeeding L. There isn't much else available on the character. He had an important role in Death Note, in that he was created to help further Mello's own role in the story. I realize the vest isn't exact, and that his hair color isn't red [it's brown in the anime]. However, most fans seemed to unanimously create the manga version of him being a redhead.

- I didn't really think of the smoke bomb. Originally I did have him using an Assassin's Guise like...ages ago. I'm not sure why I took it off of him. Pretty sure I sold it. >>; Half the time he's just seen smoking and/or playing a PSP/DS, though. I guess this works. I'll definitely have to make a re-entry though. >3
