• On a cold Christmas Eve night
    in a cozy tiny room,
in a soft bed tucked in tight
    was a little boy.
    But he couldn't sleep.
    He tossed and he turned,
    he even counted sheep,
but nothing could shut his eyes.
    With Christmas on his mind
there was no time to sleep.
Oh no, he was the kind
that likes to stay up late.
He walked to his window and gazed out
    upon the winter wonderland snow
that lay on the streets and about.
He gazed upon the starry night sky
    waiting for that special person
    to come by.
He lit a candle next to him
    and the flame's glow
    danced around the darkness
of his cozy room ever so.
    Snow continued to fall
    dancing in the winter air
and landing gently on the ground
    free from all care.
    The little boy still wait
for the jolly ole saint Nick
    to deliver his presents,
    he better make it quick.
    As time goes by,
    the little boy feels tired.
    He tries to stay awake,
seeing him is what he desired.
    Alas, he began to yawn
    rub his tired blue eyes
and fell asleep on his arms
no matter how hard he tries.
    As the boy quietly sleeps
    on his window frame
    his candle's glow
    still stays in flame.
The sound of bells was heard
    a big thump was made,
a shadow was cast onto the wall
to wake the little boy was what he was afraid.
    The stranger suddenly left.
The sound of bells rang once more
    his carriage flew the skies
"Ho Ho Ho" was his roar.
    The little boy woke up
    and thought he heard something.
He looked up from his window
and saw the sleigh fly high with the sound of clinging.
He turned to the candle's glow
and saw a small present laying close by.
He ran to it and saw a note,
    he wondered why.
    He read the note,
he then jumped and began to cheer
for the message was from him,
"Thank you for being a good boy this year.
    Love Santa Claus."

He opened his present to see
    a little teddy bear
    with a big red bow
and as cute as it can be.
The little boy hugged his new toy
    brought it to his bed
    said good night
and sleep took over the little boy.
As sun rises to the skies
and the world is still covered in snow,
the little boy was still warm
right next to his candle's glow.
