• Within ice
    there was a warmth
    and it melted
    just a little bit

Then it got hit with a soccer ball,
    which shattered it
    completly
    and got too close
    to the sun
    and it melted away

    Whenever the sun
    directed its rays away,
    the ice built up again
    more treacherous
    and slippery
    than before:

    But so long as there
    was a little
    inner warmth and sun,
    the ice couldn't
    find any strength
    with which to fight

    So it turned to water
    and waited paitently
    to evaporate
    and draw the warmth closer
    on new,
    lighter wings.
