Snuggled up on my comfy couch
Looking in my Christmas stocking pouch
The fireplace is burning
My little cat is purring
I smell the aroma of brewed coffee
And I pour myself a cup
I had already finished my Christmas shopping
I sit back down and look out my window pane
And see people hurrying buy with cand canes
The earth is still as the snow falls down
And makes a beautiful white blanket of snow
I perfect the presents and the bows galore
As the guests make their way to my decorated door
I greet the guests as they scurry in
To greet and talk and have a cup of tea
After a talk, we huddle around the fireplace
To keep warm and give each other gifts and love
We tear our presents and we are surprised at what we see
We all had what we wanted
But the important thing was the gift of giving and the special warm friendship we shared!
