• What is beautiful, am I beautiful, are you?
Could you glance at someone and see through?
If I met you in a dark room would you call me pretty, would I look nice?
If you saw me in a room where lights emphasized my every flaw would you think about it twice?
I don't look like everyone else, but what look do they follow?
For me beauty is so much deeper, I don't want to be "pretty" and hollow.
I used to sit in front of the mirror wishing I could be someone else,
    Wishing I could change.
Now I know better, I know it all ends the same.
It doesn't matter if your picture is plastered in a million magazines.
You are beautiful, just follow your heart, listen to your dreams.
Beauty is so different to all, we look for certain qualities yet does it really matter?
After all, when your life falls apart the same heart will shatter.
When you really love someone you can't see any of their flaws, you can
Look beyond the surface and see deep within.
Being beautiful is a game we all play yet none of us can win.
For someone I might call beautiful you might say she's average, she's a little plain.
It's all a matter of opinion, like how some people dislike the sun and prefer the rain.
Who is to judge when we ourselves are sometimes uncomfortable with our own image, it's not our place to say.
Because the way we handle judgment, others may disagree, we all don't feel the same way.
That's what makes us beautiful, special, our uniqueness.
Beauty is empathy and seeing beneath the surface.
In your eyes I may not be pretty but someone else may think I'm beautiful, all that matters is the way that I feel.
Only I can determine when I'm being superficial and when I'm real.
I don't need to ask anyone if I'm beautiful.
    I am.
