• Winter Days

During winter, the trees are bare
And during this time, snow is in the air.
It floats, dances, skips and plays,
As it drifts to earth on winter days.

I wake up one cold morning to the snow in the air,
And open my window to feel it blow everywhere.
I put on my snow gear, to keep myself warm,
While I go outside to watch the winds swarm.

Your first walk through the snow,
You feel and cold and then you know,
The ice is slick, so I trip and fall,
And land on the ground and watch the snow fall.

The snow’s so cold, I need to rest,
So I go inside to catch my breath.
But before you know it the snow is gone,
And I wake up to spring in the early dawn.
