- Description: I painted this piece a while ago, back in the summer of 2004. it's an unusual form of art know as encaustic art. You paint onto card using a heated flat iron and lumps of coloured beeswax and a heated stylus tool that works a little like a dip pen, and then if need be scratch away wax to reveal the card underneath, like I used for the windows, door and steps in the castle.
