- It's a mannequin butt! And I haven't used that technique with charcoal yet Sam, but I use it all the time with graphite. I have a few of them posted.

- Have you tried to do recessions? It's kind of like this except that you make the paper black with charcoal and then erase your image into it. You get a much more intricate texture.
