- Thanks for the comment. I was using small circular motions, the grains of the paper however are hard to colour out unless you press the pencil darkly - but that eats up too much pencil for one drawing.

- Very nice use of shades and highlights and your experimenting with different colors. I also like the reflection of the apple on the surface, a very nice detail use. What I might suggest is experimenting with the color pencils even further; try to blend with two different color pencils to make one color to get a close shade as possible to smooth out the other couples. For example, maybe smoothing out the purple in the apple with a dark red color (try mixing a lot of red with blue). Also, try to
