I originally just drew the pheonix out of boredom. >.> Then, I felt like drawing a background to explain why the pheonix was crying.
Reason:
A forest fire started somewhere and the whole forest burnt down. All the animals(yes, ALL) died. The tears were to help the rejuvination speed up and to make it rain and put out the fire. - Date: 12/29/2008
