- For an Anime/Cartoon style character, proportions isn't a huge issue. However, I think that you should try to smooth out your lines a little more, and perhaps invest in getting some colored pencils or an actual art pencil. I'd probably motion you to stay away from pen art until you're a little more controlled with a pencil. I'm assuming that this was done with a pen. Just a little help for you, I think that your style is unique and adorable wink
