• I wrote you a poem on my heart,
And I painted a picture of you.

I sang a lament to the stars above,
Because you'd never have me again.

I looked at the clouds and I saw your face,
And I smelled the air, and tasted your scent.

But the poem I wrote couldn't compare,
And the picture I painted didn't look like you at all.

And the song I sung was full of my tears,
    Streaking my puffy face.

And the clouds couldn't capture the essence of my love,
And the air didn't taste as good as your sweat.

And there's a ringing in my ear,
And a raw taste in my throat...
    My knees are weak,
And I can't breathe the air,
So what am I to do...When you don't love me anymore?
