• Her Broken Heart
Her broken heart beats to a lonely rhythm
As she sits alone in darkened world.
She’s thrown away all chances given
And cried all of her tears.

    She saw her mistakes
    But never fixed them
And now that’s where she lays
In a deep dark hole, full of sadness and shame.

The one she loved left her
For the one who dared to be weird.
    The girl who was different
    And oh-so strange

The first love of her life
    Shattered her hopes and dreams
Called her things that brought her down
    Farther than she already was.

She knew he would never love her
    The way she did him
But still she hoped he would see
    What he meant to her.

She looks sadly at his picture
The one thing that he left.
and tears cluster in her deep brown eyes
and she falls into the deepest well, mode solely by her tears.

    The guy who left
Sits in his room, wondering why he left.
He loved that girl for all eternity
But something was wrong that day.

He wasn’t himself and he finally lost it.
What happened to the girl he loved?
But it wasn’t her, it was him, being angry
At himself for having something he didn’t deserve.

He dated other girls for months
And kept her in the dark.
    Everyone knew about his cheating,
Except for the girl it hurt the most.

    She was always behind him,
    Had his back.
    Until he repaid her by
    Stabbing her in the back.

    So there they are
    drowning in there tears.
    One innocent, the other guilty
    Both hurting.

    This will be the relationship
    that stays with them forever.
That scars their heart and causes pain.
Like a dagger on bare flesh.

Her heart aches to be with him,
To hold him in her arms.
    Like she once did,
When she was still in love.

    His heart is slowly cracking,
    Into a billion tiny shards
Sharp as glass and bleeding still
    And on forever more.

    They were bound as one,
    Knowing all about the other
Learning more with each passing day
    About themselves and each other

Until the day the finally broke,
She caught him in the bedroom with another girl
He had one to many shots,
and now he’s the one at fault.

    So there they are
    Lying, drenched in their tears.
But soon the dawn will break
    On a new true love.
