• A blossoming dream, a flower; beautiful and refined
Until it is plucked from the ground, withering away to tears
And rough winds scatter blood-red petals across the earth

    A dream without substance

A dream to light the eventide; a moon that shines its pearly eye
And gazes wistfully through the window, at the warmth within the house
With no love of life to spare for the distant heavens

    A dream never reached

A caterpillar dream, small and unnoticed; a dream like all others
Soft silk forms strata to cushion the tender body, to coddle lovingly
Isolated from the heartless world, waiting for rebirth
    It grows

Emerging from the dark and into the rainbow spectrum, a butterfly
Dancing through the clouds, carried on a dreamers wings
From the ardor to the never-ending blue

    A dream transformed
