• The days get warmer and longer

As the birds start their songs

While the night is cool and calm

For the crickets to play along

The gentle rustling of newborn leaves

Caught in a soft and soothing breeze

    Compliments the groaning

    Of the elder trees

The rivers flow and splash the banks

    as the bees buzz happily

    On their quest for nectar

From the flowers of the nearby trees

    There's also the hummingbirds

as their wings beat as they fly

And the sound of raindrops falling to the earth

while thunder booms across the sky

    Many signals fill the air

    Announcing that srping has arrived

But the ones that really count

Are the ones when you close your eyes

    Because these magnificent sounds

Will most likely pass you by

If you try to tell when spring is here

    Without opening up your mind

But if you open up your ears

    To the sound's simplicity

    Then you can really say

That you've heard the Springtime Symphony
