• Hellfire lays waste to the valley
Where wraiths swoop to and fro
Emitting fiendish cackles and demonic shrieks
That echo and reverberate in my head,
Numbing my mind with blinding pain,
Making me wish for nothing more
Than my fate to befall me.

As my eyes slip shut behind my mask
    I see a vision, a dreamlike figure.
His eyes, clouded over with despair and agony,
Burn through me, making me bleed,
Making me feel the pain he endures.
He’s trapped in my own Hell,
Only able to look out to me
For a rescue, for me to save him…
    But I cannot move.

“I’m trapped,” despair laces his voice,
“She cannot save me, or she’ll be lost as well,
And my hope and light will forever be lost.
Save me, save me, save me,”
His scream is loosed through me,
    But I still cannot move…

    I still cannot save him.
