• I search for the blinding light
And grasp at it's white lace
    As it unfolds slowly
    Into the heart of darkness.

I'll trace the outline of your life
Gazing at the glowing fire of your soul.
It sparkles like stars in the dark sky.

I fall, descending into flames and tears,
While the fragile hopes of life
    Go slipping through my hands.

The moon casts it's glistening beam
    Onto the bloodstained snow.
I lie on the frozen ground,
    cold and motionless,
    without a sound.

My thoughts seem to fade away
And I know I will soon leave this world.
I wait for my sorrow to disappear.

You look into my soul and watch
As it's once brilliant light quickly dissolves.
I close my eyes and wait
    For your painfully silent words.
These scars I bear on my heart
No longer show in this darkness.

Now, even as you stare at my body
    Lying lifeless below you,
I know never again will you see
How much I loved you, as I always would.
