How shall I escape,
The coming of pain
Which kills some
While crippling others?

How shall I escape,
From going mad?
From being someone else,
Who is not myself?

How shall I escape,
The tears soon to come
For myself,
And for others?

How shall I escape
The pressure to do wrong?
The blame was wrongly placed
On the innocent.

How shall I escape
The loss of hope?
It is all I have,
All I have to live for.

wow. i will not tell you what it is about, for i do not know the true answer, but from my opinion, it is sort of a transformation poem, as the person in it goes through different stages of feeling. and at the end, they have nothing except for the hope that we all must hang on to when unwanted things happen...this person seems unwanting.
