• For the first time in my life, I feel I've been defeated. Let me explain, how this all came to be. I was just a boy, 17 at the time. I lived in a small village known as Karatsurara. My name is Ryugami Setkiya, and I've been pegged as an outcast in my village. For that reason, I was full of hatred for the village, but I stayed for only one reason. That reason, was my sister, Kasumi. While I was the outcast, she was the most loved in our village. But never mind that. I was training to be a hero and go on a quest to defeat the Monster Lord. As I walked out of the village, I was attacked by a slime girl. She was going into the village to get her nutrients: The seed of a man. I stood among the Slime by accident. I told her I couldn't let her into to the village, so she insisted she take me instead. In that moment, I drew my blade. I fought the Slime bravely but no matter how many times I cut her, her form returned to it's entire self. Defeat seemed certain. She kept coming closer and closer to me. I then remembered a technique that my mother, Akashiya, taught me, Turbine Assault. I used the move, cutting as rapidly as I possibly could. She was getting hurt by my blade. She couldn't restore herself quick enough. Afterward, she told me that I was the monster, and ran away. I saved my village. But I didn't feel like a hero. I felt like I denied her the right to be fed. I turned around and headed back to the village until I heard a crash to the west. I ran to the crash site. I looked around and saw that everything looked normal. I looked over to a bed of flowers and saw a woman lying there, unconscious. I ran over to her and tapped her. I asked if she was alright. I looked at her beautiful body and saw her lower half. She was a Lamia. Her purple, tattooed skin shined in the light from the spring. Her silver hair covered the area around her. She was beautiful. I leaned in closer to her ear and whispered, "Are you okay?" as softly as I could. Her eyes opened slowly, showing me her big, golden eyes. I asked her if she was alright and she nodded. I told her my name. She told me hers. Her name was Alice. Alice...
