• A small groan of annoyance escaped me when I opened my phone after it buzzed. I had received a text message from Gilly. I rolled my eyes when I read the message. She was complaining ….again.
“Why can’t she just be grateful for what she has?” I though with an irritated look on my face. “All she ever does is complain about something stupid.”
I gave her a simple reply and put the phone down. It buzzed again and I ignored it.
“I don’t want to be apart of her drama.” I though, getting ready for bed. I had a strange feeling that tomorrow was going to be a bad day.”
“Oh dear God… “ I groaned after hearing my friends story of what happened last night.” Are you serious?”
Akira nodded, with a small sigh.
“Sadly.” She muttered as she began to log. “She says that we’re all to blame and that she was the good kid.”
I couldn’t help but chuckle at the comment. Her, being the good kid? That was a bunch of bullcrap and she knew it. I wonder what lies Gilly would come up with next. I mean, come on..She was the total opposite of good. She was the devils daughter sent from the depths of hell to wreck havoc on everything. Okay… Maybe that was as exaggeration, but it was close to the truth. She did tend to make things..Bad
I listen more as Akira started to explain problems that she’s had with Gilly in the past. Each of the stories seemed to be extremely believable. Well, not that I don’t trust my best friend or anything… But when you describe Gilly-it tends to be far-fetched.
“That sounds like something she’d do.” I said with a slight nod, “She can get a bit annoying with all of her constant complaining.”
I admit, we can be hypocrites in proportions. Gilly’s daily life was all about complaining.
“Start moving!” The gym teacher snapped. “I see a lot of people walking!”
“Looks like we’ll have to talk about this later.” I muttered as I started to pick up my pace.
Anything to get that teachers mouth shut.
That day after school, I pulled out my cell phone only to see a text message from…Gilly. I sighed and read the message. It was a simply “Hey”, which kind of annoyed me. She usually replied with one to four worded sentences when something wasn’t about her. I replied with a comment that people usually use to troll someone…” I heard you thought I only cared about myself. What a cool story bro.”
My mom pulled up to the curb to pick me up from school since I had a lot to carry. I crawled into her car and as she started to drive home, my phone buzzed again. Gilly had texted back with a simple, “Sorry…”
“Sorry..?!” was that all she had to say?! That reply made me aggravated so I replied back-lecturing her on how it’s not polite to do such a thing. She then replied back with how her opinion is never listened to and depraver. I quit replying to her after I said that she didn’t deserve to be my friend anymore. I knew it was the right choice..that night.
But I was too angry to think about the consequences of my decision.
