• Today was yet another rush as Estar pulled his coat back on and kissed his mother goodbye. He rushed down the market street, sending smiles and waves to anyone he knew as he passed by. The weather was reasonably hot as usual, though Estar never left his house without his brown coat. It usually kept him fairly cool anyway. Shade enveloped him as he entered the library, his work place and one of the many places that seemed to interest him.

"Estar, my man!" Ugh. Estar though as his work partner Lur slapped him on the back of the shoulder. Lur was a big muscular man with an attitude. Estar didn't really see him as a partner because Lur just 'loves' pointing out that he has bigger muscles than he does. But he doesn't really care, at least Estar can handle a sword.

"Hey Lur..." Estar grumbled as he strolled up to the work and news board. It was really hard to focus, Lur wasn't the quietest person in the whole world. "I haven't seen you training your muscles Estar. Don't you want to be as magnificent as i am?" Lur asked in a sarcastic tone as he showed off his arm muscle. Estar rolled his eyes and continued looking at the daily news board for today. He was about to go to work, when something in the text caught his eye...

DANGER!!! Water supply is running low due to the poison tainting our main lake. Do not drink from any river or lake around this town. Conciquences are sever on your health and our community.

It wasn't the first time the water was poisoned. For some reason, more than half of Clorin's water was poisoned by an unknown source. This caused the Clorineons to fight over fresh drinkable water. Shaking his head, Estar knew it was a matter of time till their village was being threatened and stur a war for water.

"....and especially lifting boulders helped me big time." Man, was he still blabbering? Estar went upstair, far from Lur as possible. Fixing himself at one of the sections in the library, Estar began to pick up scrolls and organize them due to which table they were on. Humming to himself, Estar took little peeks in the rolled up scrolls and folded parchments. Looked like he was doing Clorineon Mythology today, and Estar enjoyed these stories of old as well as the smell of old ancient paper. The one eyed Paar, a cat-like monster that is said to drag your soul to it's master to be eaten. The Durga, a human sized slug that took women prisoner and made them clean his oozing slime. Lots of amazing tales of horrible and majestic monsters, it felt like you were actually there battling the beasts.

His daydreaming was interupted by a sudden shuddering coming from everywhere. Estar hung onto the wall as the place shook, spilling his hard work all over the floor. As soon as the trembling stopped, Estar glidded down stairs and ran out of the shop.

"Spar worm!!!! Everyone hide!!" Yelled a scribe as the people ran indoors and locked their doors. Estar's eyes narrowed as he removed some of his coat to reveal his mirror sword. Grinning in approval, this was going to be fun. The rumbling started again, this time it came from just outside the village. Estar ran towards the gates. No! They were closed. He glanced around, finally fixing his eyes on the quiper stall. Estar ran inside and picked out the best looking quiper and jumped on. He knew these horse sized foxes were very fast and could jump five times their height. Grabbing the reins, Estar tapped his feet on the quiper's side. The quiper arched it's back, swiftly weaving out of it's stall and then towards the gate. Gaining speed as they approached, Estar pressed his chest against the back of the quiper, readying to signal a jump. At the last moment, Estar sharply tugged the reins upward. Giving off a small roar, the quiper arched it's back, and thrusted into the air with the energy of it's hind legs.

Bracing himself again as the quiper landed heavily on the ground with all fours. They waited quietly in wait for trembles coming from the worm. The quiper cautiously took one step forward. Nothing. Not even a little shake. Disappointment crossed Estar's face. Maybe it was a false alarm? A Natural Clorin shake? Calculating the possible source, the quiper turned back towards Sandfall's gates.

Suddenly, Estra eyed the desert suspicously. He got off the quiper as he drew out his sword, closing his eyes. He could've sworn he felt a slight movement in the ground. Estar then saw the sand turn and shift around him. Scaly skin then scrapped against is coat as the Spar worm revealed it's ugly dragon like face. Surrounded by the coiling body of the worm, Estar slashed his sword at the worm's body. It hissed in pain as purple blood oozed out of the wound. The coils loosened enough for Estar to jump out and take another slash at the worm's head. The quiper growed, showing it's fangs as it leaped and clamped it's jaws around scaly flesh. The worm screeched, making Estar wince as he covered his ears.

Opening it's jaws, poisonous acid gushed out of it's mouth. Estar jumped out of the way, but quickly turned back as he had forgotten about the quiper. The quiper's jaws were stuck to the worm's hard skin as the acid showered it, making the poor animal scream. Estar yelled as he then lifted his sword and ran towards the foul wormdrake. The beast roared at him, the rotten smell of acid and rotten meat filled Estar's nose, making his eyes tear and head dizzy. He dodged the spar worm's writhing tail, jumping on it's coil body and leaped at it's face. Mouth open, the worm drake got ready as acid bubbled in it's mouth. With one last yell, Estar impaled his sword in the worm's neck in a way so that it couldn't breath nor spit acid.

With one last attempted to screech, the worm crashed to the ground along with Estar and his sword. Coughing in the sand and dust, Estar got up on his feet. Retrieving his sword, he looked for the quiper. Sadness fell on his eyes as he saw the poor thing dissolved in green acid. He bowed respectivly. He knew he'd have to pay for the quiper, but that wasn't the problem. That was one quiper wasted because of him. Withdrawing his sword, Estar winced as he looked at his sparring arm. It must've broken when he fell down along with the Spar worm. The gates lowered as the villagers gawked at the dead wormdrake and Estar.

"Did you take that thing down?!" Lur asked. The expression on his face was pricless. Estar smirked, but then he started to get terribly dizzy. He kneld on one knee, waiting for it to pass, but everything was bluring together. He saw a couple villagers crowd around him as he collapsed on his back.

"Estar?" "Is he going to be ok?" "What happened?!" Different voices filled Estar's head as he stared at the sky. Then his world went ink black as his eyes closed.
