• The world was still quiet. It was early and the sunlight was only a slight sliver on the horizon. The small dog was wraped in a blanket inside a hazle nut basket with a bow on the handle. The sweet smell of pancakes filled the house. up to the small what was ment to be storage of the little white house, now a bed room full of dog toys and young girl shoes and dresses on the floor. The pup sniffed the air with its small nose and yelped she squezzed out of her blacket and tumbled to the floor. She ran down the stairs tripping on her own ears and stubbleing down the steps to the cold wooden floor ten steps later. She shook off and ran into the kitchen so fast she slid into the wall when she tried to stop.
    The young boy sitting at the table old brown backpack strung over his shoulder stood and picked the puppy up petting her head o' so gentaly. A knock came from the back door the boys mother and father went to see what it was. Nothing, they looked around when they did, they vanished. The young boy finished eatting and ran out to find his mother, no sign, father, no sign. The boy looked and looked but could no find them. the pup followed him until the boy ploped down on the front steps and began to cry, loud sobs came from the boys mouth. The pup sat next to him. He must have cried for hours because the sun was high when he was done.
    There had been no cars, no buses, that reminded him his school bus never came. The rush got to him. No one was there. No one was around. He stood up and ran inside. The small pup right behind him he diled '9.1.1.' on the phone it rang and rang when no one answered the boy rant back out to the neighbors house. He rang the door bell again and again with no answer. He thought how they must be gone to. vanished into thin air. How though, he thought, why?
