Oh man. All last semester, whenever anyone would ask me what was new, my answer would invariably be, "Nothing is new. My life is really boring." School was going predictably, my honours project was predictable.. nothing really WAS new.

And then December (... and early January) came:

1. My brother was in a minor car accident
2. On the way to a Christmas party, I was in a car that was involved in a semi-serious car accident. Concussions all around for everyone in the backseat - it was pretty scary and upsetting, and it made writing exams just days later a bit hard.
3. Worked like mad at the bakery.
4. Worked like mad on a presentation that just kept getting pushed back and back and back..
5. The day before the start of the new semester, my guinea pig, Faye, who I'd had for 5 years died. ;__;
6. The day before my presentation (the day after my guinea pig died), my professor invited me to attend a conference.. and to make a presentation.. and he warned me that I had to make a decision, come up with a proposal, and send away my deposit within 24 hours.
7. Decided to attend conference, because I've clearly gone insane.
8. My brother went out and bought 2 new baby guinea pigs, Sam and Zoe. They are very cute and bad.

I can only hope that the insanity is done, or at least slowing. @__@ The last.. 9 hours have been pretty calm. Calm is good. I think I'll start saying that my life is calm, rather than boring.

Despite some of the upsetting things that happened, my life is pretty ok. My good pal Mina introduced me to the (second) best movie ever: Cannibal! The Musical. Outstanding. And it was nice to see Mina and my other friends who don't live in Ottawa over the break.

The end of school is in sight, which is really terrifying. I really really really need to decide what I'm doing as of May. >____>;;
