One night after a particularly annoying day, Myka gets utterly smashed at her favorite bar. The bartender already knows ahead of time to call the police once she starts throwing tables, and does so. Myka wakes up in a jail cell with a pounding headache and knows immediately she's in some serious trouble. Her paycheck cannot take another damage-cost deduction, or else she won't be able to meet rent for her shitty little apartment for the month. As Myka tries to figure out what to do, the jailer appears and explains that someone has already paid bail.
Myka prepares to explain to Zael or Takeo exactly what happened when who walks in but Thirrin! Thirrin makes a few cracks at Myka and her stupidity and only angers Myka further. Myka slams herself against the bars, yelling at Thirrin and how stupid she is. Thirrin finds this annoying and kisses Myka to get her to shut up. This also has the added affect of confusing Myka on her sexual identity and she gets extremely flustered. Unfortunately, the warden comes back and releases Myka. Thirrin leaves and Myka returns to Minato Underground in a flustered mess.
Myka and Thirrin's paths constantly cross while they're both on patrol, and Thirrin often jokes about the kiss. Myka gets more flustered than Thirrin expects, leading her to suspect Myka doesn't realize she's not really straight. The suspicion grows until Thirrin finally drags Myka off patrol one night and decides to get her a little drunk to see how she reacts. Thirrin drinks a bit too much herself, and the two wake up in the same bed together. Buck naked.
Myka starts to have a nervous breakdown, but Thirrin doesn't see what the big deal is. Myka decides to leave and talk to Takeo, because Takeo always has good advice. (Thirrin tries to make her stay for some sex they'll be sober for but fails. Maybe. Maybe not. Huehue.) Thirrin has to leave for morning patrol anyway, so she shoves Myka out and Myka sets for home.
Myka rants to Takeo and begs for his advice, but he either doesn't have good advice (other than "You'll work it out" wink or he goes into extensive detail about it and Myka shuts him down. Takeo questions why Myka wants to discuss her sexuality, but Myka brushes it off.
Either a couple weeks later (where Myka sneaks out to Okane every few days to do the do with Thirrin) or just that day, Romy goes on her rampage. Zael, Takeo, Myka, and Vix are all not as physically strong as Romy. (Ryou is as strong as her but he's on one of his highs probably.) Myka, who is the most concerned (since she knows Romy's living conditions are about as bad as hers), goes in anyway despite being at a serious disadvantage. Sure enough, Myka gets the absolute tar beaten out of her as Romy can't really be stopped. Thirrin happens to be nearby (maybe she just wanted to drop by and say hi? idk), sees what's happening, goes berserk and attacks Romy with all her strength. Romy is almost beaten down, but Thirrin quickly realizes she's no match for her (physically OR elementally) and settles for taking Myka and fleeing instead. The rest of Shoji is furious.
Thirrin cares for Myka's wounds and does her best to keep her hidden, as Kurogokegumo wouldn't be very happy to find out she was sleeping with an enemy gang member. Myka stays at Thirrin's for about a week, until she simply can't stand being cooped up anymore. She wants to go home. Thirrin finally relents, despite Myka being grievously injured, and tells Myka she'll take her home after morning patrol. Myka waits until Thirrin's left before starting out by herself.
Meanwhile, Shoji is going crazy. Romy has vanished, and Myka's been kidnapped. They know that Thirrin took her, and they think she was taken to Kuro headquarters and possibly tortured for information (suppliers of Chemical V, customers, warehouse locations, etc). They fear that she will be killed when Cael gets all the information that he can, and are planning to march into Okane the very next day.
Meanwhile, Myka is struggling through the alleys of Okane, trying not to get caught in the open in her condition. She doesn't think that Kurogokegumo knows of her and Thirrin's relationship, but she can't be sure. Unfortunately, she picks the wrong alley to go down and gets caught by [insert Kuro member here]. [Character] reopens many of Myka's wounds and adds to them further until it's all she can do to stay conscious. She collapses in the alley, and [character] cheerfully rips her yellow diamond off her top as a trophy and leaves. Thirrin finds Myka severely beaten in the alley. Myka shrugs off her panicked gestures and asks Thirrin to help her get back to Shoji HQ, because she's going to need their help. Thirrin does so.
Myka and Thirrin return to Shoji, and Thirrin is immediately under fire. Myka dissuades her gang and gives them the short version that doesn't involve sex. Then she explains to Takeo that her diamond was taken. Takeo decides to move the Kuro invasion up to that day while Myka gets her wounds dressed (again).
However, it seems that the invasion will not be necessary, because the entirety of Kurogokegumo (sans Christina because they're loyal to Thirrin and Thirrin only) confronts Shoji there. Apparently their aim is to punish Thirrin; they're completely disinterested in Shoji. [Insert Kuro member here] steps forward to deliver the first attack, but Myka, as wounded as she is, struggles to her feet and stands in front of Thirrin, making her position clear as day. [Kuro member] knocks Myka down easily, but Myka gets up again and again until finally Shoji simply can't take watching this pathetic stalemate go on. One of the members (probably Zael or Takeo) throws Myka a syringe containing a tiny, tiny dose of Chemical V. Myka stabs it into her arm, gains immense power for approximately four minutes, and beats the everloving s**t out of Kurogokegumo and retrieves her diamond.
This entire event has a few effects. First, Kurogokegumo becomes the laughingstock of the gangs, because nearly all of them were taken out by ONE person, and a girl no less. (Granted, the girl was hyped on Chem V but still.) Second, Thirrin and Myka's relationship gets pretty much cemented at this point as Myka defending Thirrin which such ferocity means Myka deeply cares about her as much as she does the rest of Shoji. (Although there can always be a miniplot in the future where the two hit rocky ground ehehehehehehe) Third, Myka gets the s**t beaten out of her three times and has a nervous breakdown to boot. This is a plus for me because I like physically and mentally damaging my characters to see how much I can break them. Fourth, it flares up the rivalry between Shoji and Kurogokegumo and Takeo and Cael. And fifth, HOLY CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT BATMAN!
Also, epilogue: Thirrin is shunned for a while around Kuro HQ, with the exception of Christina, who forces everyone take notice of her and say hello. Myka's powers are a bit watered down and glitchy for a while as her diamond's power and Chemical V do not like each other. (Her elemental power will be down one until Chemical V gets completely flushed from her system.) Another Shoji member also takes her place on patrols until she mostly heals. The rest of Shoji also reluctantly accepts Thirrin as a regular visitor around Shoji HQ, because if she's good enough for Myka than she's good enough for the rest of them.
Possible follow-up miniplots: Cael takes advantage of the fact that Thirrin is welcome in Shoji HQ and blackmails her into getting information behind Myka's back. Hijinks ensue.
Thirrin is eventually exiled from Kurogokegumo for being so friendly with Shoji. She is officially gangless, but is granted protection by Shoji. Christina leaves Kuro when Thirrin is kicked out, and now you've got two ex-gang members running around Atlas. Hijinks ensue.
Myka, in a Chem-V slump, drinks a bit too much and reverts to her old habits, sleeping with a man. (As usually it's incredibly un-fulfilling.) Thirrin finds out. More hijinks ensue.
