My Unknown Best Friend
Love.
You think romance,
then think again.
Love.
You think family,
then think again.
Love.
You think a pet,
then think again.
Love.
You think a friend,
keep that thought.
When life is dreadful,
and you think about
ending it,
she comes
and tells you
keep moving.
When you come to a stop,
and question existance,
your existance,
she comes
and tells you
don't question it.
When pain catches up to you,
and hits you all at once,
you begin to fall under it,
she comes
and pulls you
out.
When you don't want to
breathe,
to strip your lungs of air,
she comes
and puts it back in
and then some.
Yet, you never think
about what she does for you.
You never think
about how much of her air
she's losing.
How much pain
you put her through.
You never think about it,
until she is no longer.
Nothing
can keep you
bound to earth.
Nothing
can talk some sense
into your rattled mind.
Nothing
can stop you from living.
So will you continue?
