Haha. Isn't it amazing how some people are able to turn some of your happiest moods into down-right horrible ones? Take my mother, for example- I'm cheering my heart out because we (the girls) had just kicked the boys sorry butts in a gym-class game. Mom came and picked me up, and I told her about it.
In a good mood, I told her about the rest of my day- including the fact that I managed to score an easy A- on a math sheet that was counting as a quiz grade, which I said is awesome because I have something of a C in math. Maybe a D. So, she starts grilling me about how I have 'no work ethic' and 'I need to ask for help' and 'I need to try harder'. stressed
How am I supposed to ask for help when the teacher is busy with twenty other things at once? stressed
How am I supposed to get help for one thing, and then end up doing something totally different the next day? (This is a fast-moving class- typically, the only time we touch on the same subject is when we first learn it, and when we review for a quiz or test).
So, we get home, I lock myself in my room until dinner. I come down, surprise surprise, guess who's still in a rotten mood? So, Dad comes home, and- this is just not my night- he's in a bad mood too. We eat dinner, and he tells me about something funny that happened at his work today. I'm happy. We all laugh at the fact that they both had bad days.
Then, mom asks me to tell him why she was mad. So I did. Well, whaddya know? IT TICKED HER OFF AGAIN stressed . So, basically, I'm hunched over the damn computer, seething, because now I'm in a bad mood, and desperately need to read some fanfiction to cool down, or it'll be another showdown between us both before the night is done. Hisssssss... evil
