Oh ... my ... GOD! Its exactly 12:30am here in Juneau, Alaska. I had just taken a shower and was thinking about last night when a friend and her friend and I went out with some blankets and layed down on my trampoline (at her house of course) we were stargazing for a few hours until around 1am so I went outside to see if I could see the stars and HOLY SH**!! Green Northern lights were dancing across the sky! I ran back inside, ran upstairs put on a few layers of cloths ran back downstairs grabbed two coats and a large wool blanket! (its very cold outside about, uh, 30 degrees, everything was white with frost) Then I ran outside and looked up at the sky for half an hour! I saw a bright flash of green northern lights! That was the brightest northern light I had ever seen! It was half the brightness of the sun!!! I'm not joking!! Then I saw a shooting star, but it was odd, instead of racing across the sky in a short amount of space, like normally they only appear for about 1.5 or two seconds, this one lasted 3seconds and it was pure white! It streeked across the sky then stopped then disappeared!!
I saw a total of three shooting stars, the other two were out of the corner of my eye, I was mainly forcused on the NL since it had been over a year since I last got to see them. Last time my brother was sitting outside and he asked me to join him to watch shooting stars, then NLs came out!!!
Man!! This is the greatest way to start the day!!!! since its 12:40am its morning!! Even though its pitch black outside.
