Bio: Acario grew up in a foster home, not minding the homely life. However, boredom soon became his foe and somehow, he managed to forge adoption papers. He was picked up by his 'new parents', which were actually people he hired to fake the scene. After that, he lived life on the streets before finding a use for his powers: stealing. To make a long story short, Acario became one of the most infamous thieves of the cold case files. Of course, it was filed under his alias, Ace. Yep, Acario "Ace" was living the good life.
Ah, the reason he stopped? What else other than boredom? Being a thief was too easy for him, so he decided to try something he never got the chance to be: a regular, school-attending teenager.
Statistics: Was part of the long running Selacia Academy, which is now dead.
Also, was part of Selacia Academy -Requiem for a small amount of time. It place thirteen years after the original Selacia Academy, and Acario was technically thirty-one, but you know, slow aging and all that left him as practically the same cocky shadow.
Notes: To date, my favorite little RP character~ The RP he starred in has long ended (what I once saw as the impossible), but he still keeps his title well. The little shadow demon was originally based off a more playful version of myself, but he grew into so much more~ He is my most developed character, and his bio up there was just the foundation for my mind to start shaping the pipsqueak. In other words, this is going to be a long one. The basics are:
-kleptomaniac and still steals things with his powers even though he was on "vacation"
-being a shadow "demon", Acario contains a demon side he often argues and schemes with
-has fear of heights and guns due to incident during an earlier heist
-often refers to himself as "the almighty Ace"
-obsession with crowns and diet consists mainly of sweets
-plagued with insomnia and talks in his sleep
Now, I could write an essay about this dude. (And I'm sure one day I'll be bored enough to actually do so.) The fact that I pretty much invented my own race adds a lot too. Anyway, I'm probably the only one who's going to read this anyway, so why not enjoy it, eh Era?
Shadow Demons: You could say this is my own created race. I'm sure the shadow creature thing is very common, but I found myself pretty much tacking on characteristics of the species while writing as Acario. So you could say I put my own twist on it.
Anyway, our little brunet usually calls himself a "shadow" instead of "shadow demon". Why? Because the classification shadow demon is only half true. The thing is, shadows are technically demons but don't hold all their characteristics. He still has an extended lifetime and thus doesn't age at a normal rate, but that is probably the biggest similarity. Here, the lines get blurry, but in short, shadows aren't your run-of-the-mill demons.
So how did this spur-of-the-moment idea breed into this whole train of ideas? Yep, you guessed it. I needed someone to talk with Acario. Thus, his demon side was born so I could write some mindless banter between the two along with some angel and devil on the shoulders thing. It evolved and thus I figured out the key components of the shadow demon race. Of course, this brings me to our next section.
Acario's Many Sides and Companion: Acario, Ace, and Acario the demon. These are the three main "parts" of the almighty Acario Winters! The first is self-explanatory. The second isn't too hard to figure out, and the third one is the little foam you get on top of a cappuccino; it (or should I say he) is essential and it just wouldn't be a cappuccino/Acario without it/him.
Acario's demon side has no name that I know of, since he and Acario are the two parts of a whole after all. So you could say his name is actually Acario or something like Acario II, but I'm pretty sure both of them wouldn't be too happy with this.
Going back to the actual topic, Acario's demon side usually lets himself reside in his "owner's" mind, offering sarcastic comments, insane giggles, and maybe even some helpful advice. The first is the most common, and internal banter isn't uncommon for the two. (That's why I created him, now didn't I?) They will occasionally come to an agreement for Ace's bigger heists but such agreements are short-lived and few. However, there was one event which allowed for the to duo to live with each other today. What that is, look down kid.
Personality wise, the two are obviously conflicting. As I said in one of my earlier posts, "The real Acario was arrogant, egotistical, short-tempered, and materialistic. However, he had a soft spot and was never a big fan of violence. Then there was Acario's demon side which was sly, cunning, manipulative, and self-loving." Now, that I look back on the statement, I would say this is only half true if not rather vague. Like Acario, his demon side has also developed along with my understanding of him. You see, he is definitely sly and cunning, but manipulative and self-loving are another matter. As devious as the demon is, he wouldn't dare do anything that would seriously hurt his host (they're in the same body after all) and doesn't take much action. He is more so secretive and skilled with deflecting questions, keeping actual motives to himself but usually not acting upon them. This isn't to say he isn't prepared to do so of course. It's just the fact that acting on his own will would involve restraining a pissy Acario so he could take over his body and--next section.
Also shown in the same post from where the quote above comes from, Acario's demon side can certainly have his share of power too. Normally kicking back and watching events with a bag of unexisting popcorn in hand, he can overtake the brunet body if provoked. Provoked meaning his little shadow getting a bit too unstable and in danger for his taste. During these times, their roles are reversed, Acario degraded to yelling at his partner about not doing something stupid and said partner either screwing around or saving their a**. They've gotten out of more than one predicament this way.
Oh, their relationship? Toughie, toughie. I could probably find an accurate way to describe it if I wasn't so damn tired, but that will have to wait for another time. All I have to say is that I've had thoughts about putting them into some twisted affection more than one time.
On another note, the two's most common argument is about whether they're two parts of one whole or two beings sharing a body. Frankly, I don't have the answer either, so the two of them probably aren't going to give up on their side anytime soon. Also, Acario's demon side refers to him as "ungrateful one", that being the meaning of Acario's name. Acario just tends to not use a name for the demon or calling him an idiot. Ah, sweet love~
Fears and the Reason Why: As stated above, Acario has two main fears: heights and guns. Originally, he had a fear of heights simply because I have a fear of heights. However, with a sprinkle of time and some character development, my mind soon concocted the reason why Acario has these fears. The creation of Acario II caused for some thinking about his background after all.
Although I would love to write a detailed version one day, I'll stick with the half-assed summary. Acario is an arrogant creature of course, with good reason concerning his Ace duties. He frequently rubs his wins in the authorities faces, mocking and teasing. What can they do when he has shadow powers after all? Apparently a lot.
