Seunghyun sat idly in his seat in a small cafe, flipping his phone open and shut repeatedly as he thought of what he could do to entertain himself. He was waiting for a new assignment ever since he ended his most recent one a few days ago. She was a rather easy target. He didn't have to do too much to shatter her. He smirked in mirth at the thought. He was soon immersed in his thoughts as he thought about his latest successful mission.
It had been a week since he first decided to target the girl, whatever her name was. It had been rather simple. All he had to do was say a few loving words, give her a few charming smiles and some flowers and she waltzed right into the palm of his hand.
It was time he broke off with the little whore. He was growing tired of her. With that decided, he went on his mission as he called up the girl who he didn't even bother remembering the name of to meet up with him at the park down the street from the little cafe they had met at in half an hour.
After he had finished his call her promptly shut the phone with a wide smirk on his face. It was time to finally dust himself free from his latest target. She was getting rather annoying anyways. Getting up from his seat, he slowly made his way out the door to the park, making it by the appointed time.
The girl in front of him smiled as she spotted him, waving him over as he approached her.
"Seunghyunnie! Hey!" she had greeted him cheerily. He has smirked at the sight as he stopped right in front of her. He didn't bother replying.
The girl shrugged it off as she clung to his arm, snuggling into his side. Not liking to be touched so familiarly by this ugly whore, he pushed her away from him roughly, spitting at her in a spiteful manner,
"Don't you touch me you damn b***h." as he dusted off his arm from anything that might have gotten onto his sleeve.
The girl stared at him in disbelief as she started to whimper. "W-what's wrong with you Seunghyunnie? Why are you acting so cold?!" she cried desperately.
"Oh please. Get a hold of yourself. You look so ugly right now." he replied coldly, nonchalantly as he stepped away from her.
"But.. but, I thought you loved me?!" she cried desperately. What an ugly and despicable sight.
"Oh please. Why would I ever love someone as ugly as you?" he said, scoffing at the ridiculous idea.
The girl broke down in tears as she hugged herself tightly, falling onto the ground.
"You told me you loved me..." she whispered brokenly as she sobbed uncontrollably.
"Oh please, there's no such thing as love. Love is but only a game." he replied with his trademark phrase he always left with the person he broke up with before turning on his heel and leaving the girl on the ground to cry as she felt her heart break. He smirked in triumph as he heard her sob louder and cry out loud, shouting and screaming. He always loved the feeling of a break up. It always made him smirk as he was given the pleasure to see them shatter before him.
The ringing of a phone brought Seunghyun out of his revere as he looked down at his phone. Wonderful he thought, smirking to himself in anticipation. Another target. He flipped open his phone to see the new text message he received.
Male. In a small cafe down the block around the corner. Third table to the left of the entrance in the corner. Needs to be taught a lesson. Payment: 100,000 won.
Getting up, Seunghyun made his way to the cafe within 5 minutes. He searched for the particular person that was to be his new target and was met with a pale male with shocking blond hair and eccentric clothing.
So this was his new target? Hm. He seemed rather interesting. This should be rather enjoyable. Seunghyun had thought to himself as he smirked once again to himself, making his way over to the table the male was at. Time to worm his way into this guy's life.
As Seunghyun approached the blond male, the male suddenly looked up from his previous activity and gazed at Seunghyun, looking him straight in the eyes. As soon as Seunghyun was within hearing range, the male said with a smirk on his features,
"Why, hello there Mr. Heartbreaker. Of what pleasure do I owe you this visit?" at those words, Seunghyun's smirk faltered and he stopped in his tracks, surprised. (continue)

It was mid-afternoon and he was standing in a park, patiently waiting for the girl in front of him to speak. He watched as she fidgeted nervously, blushing red to the point tomatoes would be jealous. He was quickly getting impatient as we waiting for the nameless girl in front of him to speak.
Probably to confess her 'undying love' to him or some bullcrap like that. It happened much too often for his liking and it was really starting to get on his nerves.
"So..." Seunghyun starts the initiative as he glances in a lazy manner toward the girl. There were no redeeming qualities about her really. She seemed average and plain. Kind of boring too. He speculates if he hadn't spoken up she probably would've taken up another hour of his precious time to say something.
She is startled and looks up at him in slight shock, her face getting even redder than before, if that's possible. She stammers incoherently, trying to explain something, or say something for all he knows.
"U-um..." she continues to fidget, glancing back down as she quietly mumbles something out. Not quite being able to make out what she said, Seunghyun asks her,
"Sorry, what?" albeit in a slightly annoyed manner.
"I..I... I... ILOVEYOU!" she stammered out quickly, clenching her hand and eyes tightly in embarrassment as she finally confessed to him. He was right, once again. Of course he knew this would happen.
Blinking a couple of times at the girl, Seunghyun then begins to chuckle softly.
"You, you've got to be kidding me right?" Seunghyun tells the girl as he continues to laugh at her rudely.
"Oh please. What do you know? There is no such thing as love." he tells her coldly as the laughter subsides and his gaze steels, although it seems far off and distant at the words he had just uttered.
At those words, the girl drops her hands from her earlier position and stares wide eyed in complete shock. Tears then trickles down her face and she burst into tears, running away from him as fast as she could. He simply watched disinterestedly as she runs off. Babo.
There is no such thing as love. That one line is a belief he clings to tightly and desperately.

It was any other ordinary day with Jiyong's insistent bothering presence that he's grown accustomed to when he sees someone he hasn't seen in years. Upon the sight he froze in his spot. What the hell was he doing back here?! But why, why after all this time, does he still react to his presence?
Jiyong, noticing his sudden halt, almost bumped into him. Somehow managing to stop just in time, Jiyong wonders why Seunghyun stopped so suddenly. As he walked next to Seunghyun to have a better view of what caused Seunghyun to stop so suddenly, he saw his expression. His eyes were wide and his lips trembled ever so slightly. The most of an expression he's ever seen on his face really.
"Hey, what's wrong? Why'd you suddenly stop like that?" Jiyong tries to brush off the increasingly awkward atmosphere. It only served to worsen the tension in the air. Finally deciding to look at where he was looking, Jiyong followed Seunghyun's line of vision and saw a cute young man with tousled hair and dressed in strange attire. Well, not as eccentric as Jiyong but it was pretty strange.
The young man then turned from the direction he was facing and noticed Seunghyun's gaze. As the young man walked over to where Seunghyun and Jiyong stood, Seunghyun whispered in a small broken whisper,
"Seungri..."
(add to)
Jiyong glanced back and forth between the smirking Seungri and the speechless Seunghyun, wondering why they were staring so intently at each other.
"My, my. Nice to see you again hyung." the person identified as Seungri said as he smiled a wide smile that was so fake it hurt to even look at him.
"Seungri, what you doing here?" Seunghyun asked breathlessly.
and as Jiyong watched the scene unfold before his eyes, unable to do anything as the two former friends? companions? Lovers? Jiyong doesn't really know what their relationship was, but he can't help but feel slightly wary of Seungri.
"Now, hyung. Is that any way to greet your ex?" Seungri said smirking. Seunghyun seemed to tense at those words as he glared at Seungri, hands clenched tightly and mouth set in a stern line.
At that reaction, Jiyong couldn't help but to feel a bit jealous of Seungri. How was he able to elicit such reactions from Seunghyun so easily when he himself has been trying for the past week adamantly but to no avail?
Jiyong decided that he didn't like this 'Seungri' person.
Seungri raises an eyebrow as he glanced from Jiyong back to Seunghyun. His smirk seemed to widen as he chuckled softly. "Oh, I see. So you went and got yourself a new b***h?"
Seunghyun said in a low growl, "Shut the ******** up. He is not my b***h." and Jiyong can't seem to believe his eyes as he noticed that the role was reversed now. Instead of Seunghyun taunting and insulting while the latter was provoked, it was Seunghyun who felt as though he was going to kill someone. (continue)
--
"Don't be silly, hyung. There's no such thing as love."
Seunghyun awoke with a start, drenched in sweat and breath labored, coming in short gasping intervals. ********. It was that dream again. Why did it have to resurface now? It was long ago, so why?! He runs a hand through his hair, aggravated, then uses his other had to slam into the wall next to his bed.
It hurt, but it was worth the pain. That one line would always reverberate throughout his head, taunting him, teasing him. It was telling him that no one would ever love him, because there is no such thing as love. And so instead of hating the person that whispered those words into his ear so long ago, he came to take those words to heart.
A vague image flits through his mind so quickly that he barely recognizes the face that pops into his head in time before it's gone as soon as it appeared.
It's his latest target, Jiyong. What was he doing inside his head? He shouldn't be thinking of him unnecessarily unless it's to find a way to break him!
But despite his determination to not think of Jiyong, images of his smiling face kept on appearing in his head. Growling to himself, he decided to drag himself out of bed and take a long shower. Maybe it'll help distract his mind from his current target. (continue)
--
The tears silently fall down Seunghyun's cheeks as he covers his face with his arm, whispering softly toward Jiyong, "b*****d..." because Jiyong was slowly making a place in his icy heart that only one other person has managed to worm their way into.
"Why are you crying, hyung?" Jiyong asks softly as he brings him into a gentle embrace. The most emotion Jiyong has ever seen coming from the cold hearted heartbreaker, and he has the honor of being there to witness his melt down.
--
They were walking along the sidewalk, side by side in a peaceful enough yet somehow still awkward silence. Jiyong opened his mouth to say something, anything to break the awkward atmosphere when they heard a sudden screeching of tires and a car stops by right next to them. Someone steps out of the car, a woman and a man dressed in black suits with black gloves and black sunglasses on, everything about their attire, black. They quickly rush over to Seunghyun and Jiyong and make a grab for them, they are too surprised to make much of a resistance as they are shoved inside the car and the car speeds off.
Once the car guns toward the unknown destination, or at least unknown to Seunghyun and Jiyong, a rag is put over their mouths as their hands are tied behind their backs.
Everything seems to go black as their vision seems to swirl and flicker. What was going on? They wanted answers and fast, but they were soon enough gagged and blindfolded.
Seunghyun awakes many hours later to a blinding light and an aching headache with sharp pains all over his body. He attempts to move and sit up but finds out that his hands and feet are chained together.
"Aah, I see." someone says from his surroundings, not quite being able to pinpoint where the voice came from.
"You've finally woken up, eh b*****d?" the voice said and Seunghyun can her footsteps echoing around him as he attempts to take in his surroundings with the minimal lighting around. He sees the kid tied to a chair in front of him and he can't help but panic. What the hell was going on here?! He wanted answers, and fast.
Trying to keep his calm composure so he doesn't give himself away at how fast his heart is thumping in his chest, Seunghyun asks in a level and wary tone, "Where the hell am I? Who the ******** are you, and what do you want from us?" Seunghyun continues to attempt to shift and somehow among all the fidgeting and wiggling, he barely manages to sit up.
"My, my. We sure do have a lot of questions, don't we?" the person's footsteps echoes throughout what seems to be an abandoned warehouse.
Oh god. It was just like one of those lame action movies where the supporting role got kidnapped and the hero had to come and save the day. Except this time, the hero was the one kidnapped along with the 'damsel in distress'. This was just great.
"Answer my damn question!" Seunghyun replies impatiently. He did not have the time or patience for this and he seriously need to get him and the kid out of there before they were both screwed over. There's a blow to his stomach and his body aches at the action as his muscles clench tightly at the pain, the wind knocked out of him as he topples over to the ground.
"I'll be asking the questions around here." the person said. Of course the person was a male, judging from the rough and slightly scratchy tone to their voice. (continue)
--
Seunghyun stares intently at his phone, nervously flipping it open and shut, fidgeting for some reason. He doesn't really know why he's even considering doing this. He stares at the text message that was sent to him only one week ago, but feels as if it was months ago, contemplating long and hard whether or not he really was going to go through with it.
--
"Hyung, why did you become a heartbreaker?" Jiyong askes quietly, leaning against the railing as he looks out toward the sea, blond hair ruffling in the wind. Jiyong closes his eyes to breathe in the scent of the cool autumn wind. It was sunset time and as Jiyong awaits for Seunghyun's reply, he gazes upon the beauty of the scene.
Seunghyun seems to remain silent at that question, simply leaning his back against the railing, his arms are crossed and his head is bowed as he stares intently at his shoes.
"No one asks that you know. The why, simply the how." Seunghyun finally graces Jiyong with a reply that answers nothing.
"So... why?" Jiyong prompts gently. He didn't follow him around for the past few weeks for nothing.
"I had my heart broken..." Seunghyun seems to whisper out in a meek voice, and it sounds as if it is laced with so much hidden pain and sadness. He tilts his head back to gaze up toward the sky, hoping to stop his tears before they escape his eyes. It's a momentary silence, but it didn't last long. It never really did with Jiyong around. But the long momentary silence allows Jiyong to process the words that came out of the heartbreaker's mouth. He thinks he gets it, Jiyong thinks he understands now. He thinks that he can understand the mysterious and cold heartbreaker just a bit more than before. And perhaps it isn't too profound, but he thinks it's rather important.
A measure of protection and prevention. That's why Seunghyun was so cold and lifeless. That's why the smile on his lips is never an actual smile, but more of a smirk. Because whenever he smiles, it is always forced and it never reaches his eyes.
And with that, Jiyong feels like he grows just that much closer to the mysterious heartbreaker. It is an impossible feat it seems, something no one before was ever able to do. But somehow, Jiyong is able to squirm his way into Seunghyun's life and under his skin.
That day, Jiyong finds out one major aspect about the heartbreaker and he feels accomplished and special. And although there is no name ever given up, Jiyong is alright with that. He has a long time to figure it out.
--
"You know. I've been having these weird thoughts lately." Jiyong mumbles softly into Seunghyun's embrace, "Like, is any of this for real? Or not?"
Another week seems to pass and it seems as if it's the same old routine as before, but a tad bit different. Seunghyun now seems to have the faintest trace of a smile on his lips every time he sees Jiyong, and that, Jiyong feels as if he has performed a miracle. (continue/delete?)
--
Seunghyun could say he wasn't sad, but he'd be lying through his teeth if he did. That one person taught him one profound meaning, and Jiyong another. The problem was that he's too old to be acting like a kid. so he can't just lie around crying about it, either.
He thinks he's learnt from these experiences. And despite all the pain he had to go through, he thinks he's grateful for it. It taught him two important lessons, and it also brought Jiyong to him.
Yes, Seunghyun thinks. He is definitely grateful. (continue)

<3ed it, by the way! Anyways, while I was reading, just a little punctuation issues, that's all (yeah, i'm a weirdo like that) But, yeah; that was really good.
I feel like there just a little something missing, though, but I can't seem to put my finger on it, since it's late. *yawns*
But I think that somewhere in this fic, there should be some sort of a 'surprise' or a sharp twist in here. I'll get back to you on this.
