July 17, 2009, (Sawf News) - Young Australian actor, Xavier Samuel, has bagged the first new role in Eclipse, the third installment of the Twilight vampire saga.
He will play Riley, a good-looking college student and newborn vampire with an inexplicable weakness for the villainous Victoria, who will stop at nothing to help her murder Bella (Kristen Stewart).
Samuel's film credits include September (2007) in which he plays a 15-year-old whose friendship with an Aboriginal boy begins to fall apart under the stress of a changing world, Newcastle (200 cool , a coming-of-age family drama centered on surfing in which he played a goth teenager, and the upcoming sci-fi thriller Road Train.
Eclipse will begin begin filming in Vancouver in August and is scheduled to be released on June 20, 2010.
