OK, so, I'm reading this book called Night World. It's mainly about vampires, but the term "Night World" refers to all of the night people, including werewolves, witches, and shapeshifters. So I noticed that all throughout the book, werewolves were referred to as inferior and less intelligent than vampires, especially in one part of the book when a vampire and a werewolf duke it out over a human girl. (Yes, much like Twilight, but WAY better in every way. Plus this book was written BEFORE Twilight. So there. >.< )
So I started thinking...How come werewolves always have to be the bad guys? D:
In every book I've ever read that involved werewolves, they were always considered vile, disgusting, stupid, evil creatures. FURRY vile, disgusting, stupid, evil creatures. So I gotta ask: Where's the love?
Well, I take that back. In some books, they weren't exactly EVIL...Like...Well, for lack of a better example, the horrible disgrace to modern literature commonly known as Twilight. But still, they were pitted against vampires. I have yet to come across a book or story that has werewolves being FRIENDS with other mystical creatures. >.< It's like, everybody's got something against them.
It would just be interesting to read a book where werewolves didn't fight with other mystical creatures. A book where a werewolf could walk up to a vampire/witch/shapeshifter and be like "WHAZZAP, MAH BROTHA!! what is HAPPENIN'?!" and they would be like "NOT MUCH, BRO!! Hey, wanna go out for a few beers tonight?!" and the werewolf could be like "NAWW MAN, can't tonight. Full moon, yo. I'mma turn into a WOLF and all that. Hit me up tomorrow night, though!!" and then they'd be like "HO'K, DUDE!! Gonna go DRINK some BLOOD now. WANNA COME??" And the werewolf would be like "SURE THING, MAH MAN!! Can I KILL them first??" And they'd be like "BE MAH GUEST, YO!! But I get dibs on the lady across the street!!"
...OK, maybe it wouldn't happen EXACTLY like that. But you get what I mean. >.<
...Granted, my favorite mystical creature happens to be zombies. So It would be amazing to tie zombies in the mix somehow.
...I am getting WAYY off-topic. But it doesn't matter! I should be going to bed now anyway. It's 4:36 AM! But I'm still not sleepy...Oh, well. I should turn the computer off anyways!! Buh-bye now. mrgreen
