Area: Aprox. the area of Washington State and Oregon.
Population: Undocumented, presumably none.
Government: Unknown.
Imports/Exports: Unknown.
History: Little is known for sure, but Spiran legend states that the Northern Wastes used to be a thriving agricultural country aprox. 1000-1500 years ago. Unlike the collapse of most states, the Wastes collapsed not due to internal and external pressures, but a strange magical destruction that leveled the area and turned the once green fields into barren wasteland. Other lands, like the Tribal Range and the Canadian Republic, naturally have other stories/myths. It has not recovered since, nor does it look like it ever will. The Northern Wastes are avoided, as anyone that goes in rarely returns, and the few that do return come back raving mad and much older then they should be for the time spent within the Wastes.
