Wild ideas and theories tend to run when hints are dropped in stories and journals. I should know, I've had my own. But here is a dead serious and highly plausible one.
Santa was dead, or dieing. To prevent his body from decomposing formaldehyde would be needed. Suppose a tank filled with it were constructed and a way to support the brain, even though the body died, were assembled. Theoretically Santa could be "brought back from the dead" in such a way. Now this would leave him stuck in one place and only minimal interaction. UNLESS, a robot of some sort were constructed to transport the brain and act as a body. Such a body would need to be prepared for combat, considering how the previous one was destroyed, and heavily armored. The Claw was an obvious reference to a new robot suit. The Gun, a representative of combat, also shows Santa means business this time around.
Im basing this theory on a couple key points. One, The admins use Anime and Pop Culture References in updates and site ideas. Two, in the DBZ movie, World's Strongest, Such a robot did exsist and was equipped for combat. Three, no mention of an object in more than two ElfTech Journal's should be overlooked.
But where do the Tickle-Me-Llamas come in...
