Chapter 2: Vampire Secrets
Cylestine Forest Border
"What are you doing in this place?" Thorne asked.
"I'm here on a tip from my hunter sources" Gabrielle replied.
"What could possibly be of interest in this old place?"
"I heard rumor of a dark warlock in these areas, looking for an elf."
Throne thought to himself, then remembered what Restie had told him when he was a child: "You may be you now, but remember this, Thorne, an untapped source of magic, is one of the few sources of magic that can be used with the simplest of knowledge of magic."
Thorne didn't understand that until now.
"Hold on are you saying that the warlock is looking for me, so he can take my magic!?!"
"In other words, Yes he is. He has been able to escape all my tactic so far, so either he is a myth, or he knows vampire's talents" said Gabrielle.

The next morning, vampire and half- elf prepare to leave the forest.
"Are you sure that you can get us back in here?" Thorne was beyond worried. He had never been beyond the forest edge.
"Yes, I can get us back in later if need be. I don't intended to come back here for a while though" Gabrielle replied. "Before we go I need to check something."
About an hour later she returned from her chore.
"What took so long! We must leave soon, before the sentries find us."
And with that, the two companions left the forest of Cylestine and began their journey.
