The Christmas Giveaway is my ultimate giveaway. Starting August 28, 2005, all the gold I accumulate shall be saved up until December 25, 2005 (Christmas). On that day, I'll announce a winner, and that person wins EVERYTHING I made in 4 months.
How much gold are we talking here?
Now you might think that's not a lot, but when I make gold, I make a lot of it. I bought all the items my avatar has in 2 weeks (including a Kiki Kitty which I recently sold). That was back during Spring Break. This summer I've given out at least 40,000 gold and a few items to nearly 100 people who participated in my giveaway events.
Who's eligible to win?
1)You must play, RP, or have interest in Pok魯n.
2) Visit Team Rocket H.Q. once, each day you're online. My site is new and I didn't pay for it, this mean I can't advertise it on search engines. I assure you that top quality information'll be provided on it, but I need to make sure people can access my site. I need you to help keep my site high up on the ranking lists so other players can find it and make use of it. Our forums need some lively attention too. You don't have to look through the entire site every day you sign on. We don't update daily. The page that needs visitors is the homepage. It's what counts toward raising our rank. So just view the homepage.
3) You have to be on my friendslist.
4) Keep in contact.
If you want to make gold really fast, always click the 'here' icon after you submit something so the page loads faster. This way you can return to a topic or find a new one and begin your response. You can't respond immediately after a post. I think you have to wait like 40 seconds or something.
Do polls. You can do 10 at a time for 10 gold each. Check Chatterbox for tons of polls. After about 10 minutes, do it again.
Join a role play group. You post, develop a storyline, and make gold without effort.
Sell enchanted boxes if you get them in special events. Don't open them. You may not get a good item. You can sell them for 1000 gold (a lot of people want them so you should see who offers the highest price, some people can offer up to 1500). I'd rather take 1000 gold than risk it for something that could be worth like..200. To sell items, go here or to the Marketplace on the Map.
It might even help to save links to topics you like to your favorite places so you can get there immediately.
To buy a trading pass go to the map then the Isle of Gambino's Bank and buy it. It allows you to trade. It costs 500 gold.
Check the Gaia Exchange for any sales. A lot of better items can't be found in stores, so try to save up your gold.
Visit the marketplace on the map to find other items and sales from people on Gaia also.
Make a journal. Each day you sign on, create a journal entry before you do anything else. You should make 20-30 gold.
Purchase monthly items (preferably on Gaia unless you can spare real money) and hold onto them for a few months. The prices should raise significantly and you can make thousands more gold for selling them. [example: I bought a Kiki Kitty in April for 8k, now they sell for 30-40k]
If you use a mule, open another window so you can answer polls and post on both accounts (so you have something to do in the time you have to wait to submit another post). Then you can have your mule send the gold to you.
If you want to make a lot of gold quickly, you might have to sacrifice a day. If you have the energy to use Gaia from like 7am - 8pm during vacation for a day or two, you should be able to make a lot of gold and stumble into 1 or 2 special events.
DO NOT BEG FOR MONEY IN THE WELCOME TO GAIA SECTION! Go to the charity section and do that.
~ Special Events ~
While on Gaia you may see a bubble sticking out of your character's face (like when you have mail, invites, etc.) Special events are in that bubble, but the symbol is of a shocked face, like this eek When this happens, look around for the following:
1) Stay on the screen. If you see an enchanted trunk or giftbox float across, click it. You can then open it in my inventory.
2) Look around for a pink link. One of the topics (it could be any) on Gaia should have a pink link. Click it and you instantly receive 1000 gold.
Selling Special Event Prizes
While enchanted trunks rarely have good items (if you're lucky, the best you'll find is an alien mask or fox ears), you should probably avoid opening it. Instead, go to the Gaia Exchange and sell it. You can make 2000-3000 gold. It's better than being stuck with something worth 100-200. Don't take that risk! Special events are RARE!!
Giftboxes. There are 2 types. Blue and pink. Blue has common stuff so you should sell it.
Pink boxes have awesome stuff inside. Open it for yourself, or sell it for like 11,000 gold.
