Yeah, this storyline has been running through my head for quite some time. I plan on making this a manga. This is basically a fantasy story, just to tell you. Enjoy, and critique please!
Log 1: Enter Selveana ***
Log 1: Enter Selveana
Middle Earth was a bustling city, filled with shops, inns, and taverns. It was as the name suggests: the nation in the middle of all the others. The center of the Earth. It was said it was once the center of commerce. Many different races of the different nations would go there to get the supplies they needed within easy traveling distance. That was until the nations began to distrust each other, and isolated themselves from one another. Selveana and Daniel walked the worn, old streets, towards the battle arena, where the tournaments and fights took place, getting greetings and good lucks from many people as they passed by.
“Whoa, hold it”, said Selveana, “I got to go talk with Sid”.
“But we got to get to the battle arena Selveana, you can’t be late!” reasoned Daniel.
“Then I’ll guess I’ll be fashionable late,” called back Selveana, “ Besides, this won’t take long”.
She entered the Maulburg Inn, and asked for the innkeeper Sid. The Maulburg Inn was one of the best inns in Middle Earth, mainly, because the first floor had a tavern, with some of the best drinks around.
“Oh, hiya Sid! Looks like your inn is pretty busy today, huh”?
“Hey, Selveana! What brings you here today? Shouldn’t you be down at the arena already?”
“I would, but I think we got some business to take care of first”.
“You want to make this fight a little more interesting, right”?
“ If I win, you give me a room for 5 days”.
“Hahaha!” chuckled Sid,” But you always win Selveana!”
“I dunno, Draken seems to be a tough opponent from what I’ve heard. Maybe today’s fight will be different”.
Hmmm. . . alright Selveana, I’ll take you up on that bet. If you loose your head, I get your sword”.
“Works for me!” said Selveana,” Your on”!
After shaking hands on their bet, Selveana left the inn and continue to make her way over to the battle arena with Daniel.
“Why do you always make a bet on a room in an inn? What’s wrong with staying at your own house”?
“Well, that is a good question, and I have a very simple explanation for that. My house doesn’t have a tavern in it. Besides, inns are a very good place to crash if you get too drunk and have a hangover,” Selveana stated.
“Maybe you just shouldn’t drink,” said Daniel.
“Why not? I’m 16 years old now! I’m old enough to drink”!
“It doesn’t mean it’s good for you,” Daniel shot back.
“Hey, it’s not whether it’s good for you or not, it’s for the pleasure and enjoyment”!
Daniel sighed, “Whatever you say”. You’re as reckless as always.
Finally, they reached the battle arena, where hundreds of people were gathering to see the fight against Selveana and Draken. They say Draken is a tough opponent, one of the best in the land, and has never lost a fight yet. Well, today is his unlucky day. I have never lost a fight either, and I’m not going to be breaking that streak anytime soon. No, not today I ain’t.
“You should go warm up a bit on the scarecrow punching bag with the little amount of time you have left before the fight starts,” said Daniel.
“Nah, I’m already warmed up,” said Selveana.
“ What do you mean you’re already warmed up? You haven’t done anything”!
“I walked down here, that counts.”
Daniel did a face palm, “ This guy is the toughest opponent yet! You can’t just take it easy like you do with all the other fights”.
“Don’t worry about it Daniel. I can take him,” Selveana stated confidently.
Just then the announcer had called forth Draken and Selveana to enter the arena, as the roar of the crowd sounded through the great arena, in excitement for the battle that was about to take place.
As Selveana entered the battle arena, she gazed upon her opponent for the first time. Draken glared back at his opponent, with determination to defeat her.
“I’ve heard many rumors about you, Selveana. They say you are a merciful opponent. Apparently, you don’t kill any of your opponents in any of your fights. Is that correct”?
“Right on the mark. Do you have a problem with that”?
“Hmph. Just don’t expect any sympathy from me. I will dispose of you properly, just like I did with all the other opponents I fought.”
So, I guess what they say about Draken is right. He always kills his opponents. Heh, time to teach this son of a b***h a lesson he won’t soon forget. The announcer then said, “Ready your weapons”. Selveana and Draken drew their swords and ready themselves into a fighting stance. “Ready . . . fight”!
Draken lunged forward with his sword making a slice to the head of Selveana’s. Selveana jumped back, avoiding the attack, and walked several paces back, leaving a long distance in between the two.
If I can get him to charge at me, his moves will be easy to predict, and I can take him down quickly. Draken charged at her and then jumped into the air, and slammed down his sword at Selveana from above. Selveana blocked his attack with her own sword.
Damn, he’s faster than I thought. Rrgh, and pretty strong too.
Selveana managed to push away his sword and jumped back several feet. Draken did the same. Draken again charged forward, and jumped. How predictable can you get? But this time, instead of a downward slice, he slashes across the body. Selveana quickly moved her sword to block the attack. Draken kept pressing down on her as she struggled to push against him. Draken finally pushed her onto the ground, unable to overcome his strength, and threw severally strikes at Selveana. She manage to block all the strikes, but on the last strike, she lost her grip on her sword, and it went flying out of her hand, and out of her reach. s**t!
Now Draken tried to hit Selveana, but she kept on dodging, and rolling.
He then slashed over one of her legs. Selveana dodged it by lifting her whole leg up. He then tried to hit the other. Selveana lifted her other leg and now had both of her legs up. She spun her legs around and did a windmill.
Direct hit. Selveana hit Draken square in the balls. He gave out a silent scream of pain, and fell to the ground.
At least I got one advantage in fights over guys. Ha! Selveana hurried over to get her sword. After she got her sword back, she turned her attention back to Draken. Apparently, he overcame his pain and was standing up. He looked pretty pissed now, and Draken charged yet again. Ha! I can read your moves like a book now. This time, Selveana side step and dodged the jump attack. Once he landed, she slid her foot behind his, forcing him to trip and fall. Selveana now had Draken at the tip of her sword.
“Well, what are you waiting for?! Finish me off you coward! I have lost! Can you not take a life?! Are you too scared?!”
“I’m not afraid to take a life. In fact, I have many times before. Indeed, you did lose, but why would I kill you for losing in a fight match? I’m not going to take a life on something as little as a fight match. This fight s are for entertainment, not for killing. There’s nothing amusing seeing others kill. There’s already enough death as it is, why taint these organized fights with more blood and lose? Besides,” Selveana said as she drew her sword away and extended her hand, “Why not give a chance for your opponent to get better, and stronger, and become more of a challenging opponent. Everybody deserves a second chance”.
Draken hesitated at first, but then reluctantly grabbed Selveana’s hand. “Perhaps mercy is not such a bad trait after all”.
“Match is set! Selveana wins!” the announcer yelled out, as the crowd went wild.

“You have got to be kidding me!” exclaimed Selveana.
“Sid and I made a deal! I won, and now you’re telling me there is no more rooms left here at your inn?!”
“I’m sorry Selveana, I would have saved a room, but Sid didn’t tell me about your deal. You can still have drinks on the house if that makes you feel any better,” Sid’s wife offered.
Selveana grunted in aggravation.
“Sorry, but I don’t think tonight is the best night to drink. Do you think tomorrow there will be any rooms”?
Most likely, would you like to save your victory party until then”?
“Yes,” Selveana said reluctantly, “ that would be fine”.

Tricia sat out on the balcony of her apartment, overlooking the massive city and tall, gray, shiny skyscrapers of Citelta. It was a magnificent city, no doubt about that, but within in it held grim, sorrow thoughts that lingered everywhere and in everyone’s mind. She had heard of disappearances, but she didn’t think it would be people so close to her. So there she sat, wailing her eyes out, as tears streamed down her face. Tricia’s sorrow cried out into the night.
“I can’t believe it. M- my mother, she . . . she’s gone”.

“You can go home now Daniel,” Selveana said, as they walked to Selveana’s house, “You don’t have to walk home with me. I can take care of myself”.
“Oh, I just thought I keep you some company,” Daniel responded.
“Oh”.
“By the way, you did great in the fight today”.
“Thanks!”
“I was actually really worried there when you lost your sword. I thought it was all over then and there”.
“Oh, is that so”?
“But then, you maneuvered yourself out of there, and got your sword back, and took down Draken without killing him!” Daniel said in excitement, “I’m really proud of you”.
“Thank you, Daniel,’ Selveana said, as they got toward her mansion.
“Well, I’m at my house now, so, um . . . bye!”
“Bye Selveana!” Daniel called out, as she began to walk the other way.
Looks like Daniel can’t see me now.
Instead of going through the great iron gates to the mansion, Selveana ran deep into the forest next to it. There, she set up traps and other ways to signal intruders were approaching, and to wake her up. After that, she found a comfortable branch to sleep on, and tried to get some sleep.
Well, now the traps are all set, now time for a restless night. At least I didn’t go drinking. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have any sense left to defend myself. Hmmm, it sure would be nice to have a room right now, or even better, a house, or someplace I can call home. Although, it’s too bad I don’t have such a thing as home.
Rooms in an inn are much better than out here in the open. At least in an inn, if the intruders did come, someone else would hear them, and come barging into my room. They don’t want to be seen. They would leave then.
And after that performance I did at the fight, they’ll come looking for me. They’ll wait till I’m asleep and ambush me.
The Hunters know what I am.
I am an Azethian.

Long ago, they say before time itself was invented, the elves separated themselves from the mainland. They wanted to protect their land from pollution, which the humans frequently did. Unintentionally, of course. So they took the purest land, untouched by the humans, and lifted it to the skies. They now float above in the clouds, kept in the air by powerful turbines. This was how the Elven Isles were made.

Gazing out of the tower of the Elven palace, Emiri could see the great and vast forest out ahead of her, with the most splendid trees she has ever seen. Guess I better prepare then, Miku will be waiting for me.
“Emiri!” a shout came from behind her, “I just wanted to remind you of the evening dining party that we will be having tonight”.
“I remembered Mother,” Emiri calmly responded.
“Be ready around sunpassed, and please look your best”.
“As I always will Mother,” Emiri said calmly again, as her mother left her room.
Good, glad she’s gone. I’ll probably just have to do my last-minute-make-look-good-getup like always. Right now, I have other business to attend to.
She took off her dress robe, and wore raggedy clothes underneath it, and grabbed her dark, long cloak and her bow and quiver full of arrows. After strapping on her quiver, and putting on her cloak, she went out onto the small balcony she had outside her window.
She had her long rope tied to a small metal loop she had made just so she can get to the Isle of the Great Forest. She then tied the other end of her rope to an arrow, readied her arrow, drew her bow back, aimed to the nearest tree on the Isle of the Great Forest, and released her arrow.
“Bullseye!” shouted Emiri as she crossed over on the rope to the isle hanging upside-down. She soon reached the tree, and climbed down from it and onto the soft, grassy ground. Emiri then ran deeper into the forest. Eventually, she found the target practice area she made a long time ago to accommodate her practice of using her bow. Emiri fired a couple of arrows, as a voice said,” Deadly accurate as always I see,” as Miku came out into the open, and felt the target as his hand brushed over the 2 arrows, one splitting the other, dead-center on the bullseye.
