Libra started her bike and rolled smoothly out of the gas station parking lot, her coat floating in a gentle breeze. She was startled when a fat rain drop, the first of many, splattered against her goggles. A light shower began falling on the town, it quickly intensified, as ussual for winter the rain was permeated by flecks of light hail and driven by a chill wind that stung at Libra even through her heavy clothes. She was suddenly snatched hard to the right by a blast of wind. She pulled left to regain control but the bike slid across the now slick backroad. She was thrown hard to the ground. Dazed, she stood slowly, trying to regain her bearings. She knew she was somewhere north of town. Gozo's, the restuarant where she was headed was about twelve miles out of town, she'd gone about five. She found her bike lodged in the crook of two massive tree roots. After a few minutes of tugging she noticed gas drizzling down the bike's chassis, and realized that she could'nt budge the vehicle. She left the bike and headed off on foot into the woods, hoping to reach the interstate, about three miles to the east.
