personality: He has a fiery personality and is very energetic. He has a short temper, but he also holds a carefree attitude towards things. But he is really protective over his friends.

history: Ryuji grew up alone, his parents mysteriously vanished when was really small like around three or four years of age. He had never seen them since. So Ryuji thought that his family didn't want him. He was put into an orphanage, where he was teased and taunted about being half angel/half demon. Ryuji tried to get them to stop, but the jeers and taunts continued. They weren't afraid of him.
When he was around 7 years old, his powers started to kick in. One time when the kids were bullying him, he created fire. The kids ran away scared, but soon began to call him a freak. A couple of months, later after a really bad encounter with some kids, he lost control and burned down the orphanage. No one was killed, but many were seriously injured. Ryuji bolted from the scene.
He wander around aimlessly, for a couple of weeks, before someone picked in up. They took him in and raised them as their own. This couple wanted a child, but the wife couldn't get pregnant. So they gladly adopted Ryuji, which he was grateful for. The couple's name are Kite and Cerina, who showered Ryuji with love and kindness. Kite used to work in the mercenary business, before he settled down with his wife Cerina. So he knew all sorts of types of combat. His wife was an assassin earlier on, but she wanted out of the business. They had a enough money to last them the rest of their lives, as well as raising Ryuji.
When Ryuji was older, Kite began to train him, in the arts of combat. Where Ryuji quickly excelled and Kite was proud. Cerina also taught Ryuji in her profession, where he learned many things, like moving silently and not being spotted by the enemy. This were just some of the things, but both Kite and her trained Ryuji in both of their professions. Which made Kite and Cerina really really happy and proud. Ryuji also beamed and loves he new family. They are giving him everything, he ever wished for.
When Ryuji's seventeenth birthday rolled around, his adopted parents, told him that he was meant for a greater cause. So they had to let him go. Ryuji nodded and promised that he would come back to them alive.
As the days went by, Ryuji met up with the other heroes and they began to quest together. Since they all had the same goal. He became quick friends with the group and Ryuji learned many things, about their destiny and he shared what he learned with them. But in the back of his mind, he wondered why his real parents abandoned him and he vowed to find out.
other facts: He is an expert in weaponry and martial arts, despite his young age. He can give anyone who was against him a run for their money. But he also secretly enjoys playing the flute, he uses it to express his emotions when no one is around.
