Well, tomorrow I'm going to the optomertrist. Hopefully my glasses are done, and I can take them home. Also, I'm starting the contact lenses trial.
My optometrists suggested this trial to me after asking me if I'd ever thought of using contact lenses. Well yes, I have, but only once or twice last year. (Stupid swimming lessons)
I have terrible eyesight, and I require my glasses all the time. I have myopia, aka short-sightedness. With font of this size, from af distance of 37cm from the computer screen the vision of my right eye becomes unfocused. From a distance of 18cm my left eye becomes unfocused. So, as you can see, my left eye is twice as impaired as my right eye. The resulting glasses lens is also thicker.
The trial lasts for two weeks and is totally free. During that time I try out a pair of contact lenses, and then after that I decided whether I want to continue using contact lenses or not. I've been asking people for their comments on using contact lenses, and so far people have been pretty helpful. I'm getting a lot of feedback, both negative and positive. I really don't know whether I would get contact lenses, because most likely I would only use them during taekwondo, four times a week.
But I'm just excited to get my new glasses. ^_^; I always get excited getting new glasses. I have a fetish for them.
