The Garnet Tablet
I sort of regret buying the G Blade today. My gold suddenly dropped down to 1000 when I bought it, and it doesn't even go with my character... Maybe I should give it to my mule? That would look a lot better actually, but he's holding a staff at the moment and that looks good on him too. xd
LOL, but I couldn't pass up the offer. I was looking in the marketplace and it was 600g less than all the other G Blades. I'm a sucker for a bargain, I am. whee
Bah, I'll give it to my mule in my next weekly transfer of gold and items.

In other news, I started RPing in Ria High (finally!). This character is one of my favourites, so I'm glad to start RPing with her. She uses elemental magic, and my idea was based on a fusion of Bleach, Cardcaptors and .hack. Pretty bizarre, but how does it all tie together? Well, my character has a staff which has a soul (sort of...) which she isn't really aware of, and the staf can shrink to a pendant which she wears around her neck. In addition to that, the spells she uses are based on those in the .hack series of stories and games. Yup, so that's how it works out. ^_^
Oh, here's the profile, it's fairly long. sweatdrop

Quote: “What? Is that so strange?”
Name: Airah Skyraider.
Name Meaning/Nicknames: The name holds no particular meanings. Her nicknames include Ailah, Sky, and teddy bear.
Gender: Female.
Date of Birth: August 1, 1990.
Race: Human.
Arts: Taekwondo and elemental magic.
Character Looks: Long straight hair flows down Airah’s back, resting just above her knees. She usually ties this back with a piece of red ribbon when trying to concentrate, especially in school or sport, but loves to leave it down. When the sun catches her hair it seems a rich, deep navy, but usually is a plain black. Her eyes are a light shade of slate grey, remote yet warm and kind. She wears clear contacts, as she is short-sighted. Airah is not very tall, standing at only 156cm. She will often wear something simple – a nice shirt and a pair of trousers, for example. She also likes to wear skirts occasionally, and recently has become more adventurous and bold with her clothing.
Alignment: Neutral.
Personality: Airah likes to be alone. It has been a habit since childhood, and although she does like to interact with others, she quickly becomes overwhelmed when there are many, many people all around her. Thus she prefers to hang out in small groups with close friends. To those who don’t know her well, she seems quiet and studious, as well as mature, innocent and responsible. Her friends know better: although she is usually quiet, with them she is often loud and boisterous. Airah is often seen as a mother figure among her friends, or at least an elder sister: responsible, caring and loyal, she is always considerate and helpful. However, she can also be the exact reverse: acting adorably childish and cute, she loves to let go once in a while and be silly. She is very intelligent, so fellow students are often shocked when she doesn’t do her homework, unaware of her laziness. Despite her innocent looks she really has a dirty mind.
Once you learn to understand her, the tone of her voice and her small motions can be worth a thousand words of analysis into her thoughts. The slight twitching of an eye or lip, the brief furrowing of her brows, or even a light rub on the bridge of her nose can give immediate insight into her mind.
History: As a toddler, Airah was playful, mischievous, loud and boisterous – definitely not how you see her today. She was also not very nice to her brother Taki, but as she grew older this role was reversed and brother became the not-very-nice one, and she became the devoted but stressed older sister.
She began to grow chubbier at the age of three, and throughout her early childhood she was tormented by the taunts of other children and sometimes adults as well. As she withdrew further within herself, she developed a love for reading that meant long hours with few people, and solitude became a habit.
Breaking point came when she began her first year of high school. She was forced to change school three times in the first month due to administrative bungles, and while this provided an amusing story for her to tell, she built up a wall around herself that prevented her from making friends easily, always apprehensive that she would be changing school again soon. She needn’t have bothered; for the next three years, she stayed put.
By the next year, Airah had gained many friends, with some so close as to be deemed her ‘sisters’. One of these was a girl named Maria, who was the light of her world. Maria was as sweet as sweet could be, and Airah could not se a single fault besides her endearingly excessive chatter. After a year of friendship, Maria proved to be vicious after all, and Airah came away feeling betrayed, heartbroken and lonely. Then the end of the year came, and with it a chance to begin anew.
While it was a new beginning for her, it was the end for her grandfather. Airah went to visit him every week in the month leading up to his death, and in this time he managed to fuse her being with the essence of the family’s greatest heirloom: the staff, Benimaru. It was usually passed from one generation to another, but grandfather had broke tradition to give it to the one he believed possessed the most potential. Before his death he managed to begin Airah’s training, but with no one to continue it she could not advance any further. And so the rest of the year passed by with Airah practising in secret the few spells that she knew, and she quickly became efficient in their use.
Most recently, she has been trying a lot harder at school. The faith her grandfather placed in her gave her hope for herself, and gave her self-esteem and confidence the boost that she really needed. Certainly her friends may have noticed that she laughed more, joked more, and was less hesitant to reveal the contents of her mind and heart. The results on her mind and body from three years of taekwondo were noticeable – she was no longer so self-conscious or paranoid, and could accept compliments without much suspicion and scepticism.
As the current semester came to a close, Airah’s family was thrown into chaos again. The divorce of her parents came as a complete surprise to her, even though she had often wished for it. Taki was sent to boarding school to shield him from the bitterness of the divorce, and Airah to Ria High for the same reason, as well as to continue the magical training her grandfather had begun.
Any weapons/armour you have: Airah’s main weapon is her body – the arms and legs in particular. She carries a staff her equal in height named Benimaru, with a large crystal orb set at the top. She uses Benimaru mainly to cast spells, but occasionally also in physical combat.
Any items you have: The staff, Benimaru, that Airah uses to cast magic was given to her by her grandfather, and the orb at the top reflects the mind set of the user. For Airah, it is usually cloudy or grey, but changes in her mood bring about a large variety of colours. The staff shrinks to a pendant the size of her fist when the words ‘fuin, Benimaru’ are said, and Airah wears this around her neck on a leather cord. To restore it to its full size, the words ‘kai, Benimaru’ are required.
Any battle skills/magical powers you have: Airah has basic taekwondo skills up to first dan. She also has basic elemental magic skills. She is confident in her lightning, light and fire spells, and a little shaky with the others. Thus far, her only spells are:
Rai Don – Lightning strikes down from the sky.
Rai Kruz – Lightning jumps from her staff to the target.
Aura – A light appears in the orb on her staff. Dispel with the words ‘aura kai’.
Aura Don – A painfully bright flash of light emits from the orb.
Vak Don – A shower of fire rains down from the sky.
Vak Kruz - Shoots a ball of fire from the staff.
Vak Zot – Raises a wall of fire from the ground, lasts for five minutes.
Mizu Kruz – Shoots a brief yet strong jet of water from the staff.
Ice Don – A shower of hail falls from the sky quickly.
Juk Zot – Roots raise from below the ground to entangle.
Character Flaws:
Airah is difficult to befriend and to comprehend, but once you become a friend you can be guaranteed that she won’t forget you. However, she can be forgetful at times and when she is agitated or very excited her speech becomes erratic. The array of spells at her disposal is very limited, and she is inexperienced with real combat, both magically and physically.
Friends in the Realm: Nymph of the Night – Rhianwyn De Leon
Enemies in the Realm: None as of yet.
Lover: None as of yet.

Theme Song: Devil Inside by Utada Hikaru.
