Methodios slowly opened his eyes, it was dark, meaning he was asleep for quite a long time. He sat up and looked around, everything was the same. Atreus! Where was Atreus? "Atreus!" He shouted. Atreus was sitting next to him when he fell asleep, but now he was gone. What should he do? Should he look in the town? Or continue on to the enemies outpost to look for him there?
Methodios stood up and made up his mind, he was going to the outpost. He started running but soon changed his mind, he just woke up and was still tired and he didn't know how far away the outpost was, so he was walking from this point on. There was no sign of Atreus when he woke up, no bow, no quiver, no nothing. Was he captured? Or did the coward just run away from danger? He didn't have much time to think about it because he saw a dark figure walking towards him.
"Villagers don't walk down this path, so that must be an enemy." He muttered to himself. He hid behind a tree and watched as the figure walked by, it was wearing the same cloak that the demon wore when he was attacked yesterday. I'll jump him and get some information about Atreus that way. He thought. It was a good plan, but the problem was that a sword was held against his neck now.
"Come with me." The demon ordered. He was so focused on the demon on the path that he wasn't watching his back at all! His broadsword was snatched away from him, and he was marched down the path to the outpost. There were many things about the outpost Methodios didn't expect, there was a tower in the center of the outpost with several small houses (At least he thought they were houses) around the base of the massive structure.
Methodios was taken to the far side of the outpost, and thrown in a cell. What surprised him more was that Atreus was there, lying on the ground with several deep cuts on his body. "Atreus!" Methodios shouted as he ran to him. Atreus was breathing, but his wounds were still doing a lot of damage, Methodios had to find a way to stop the bleeding or Atreus could die. He grabbed a cloth on the floor and tore it into several pieces, and used those to cover the wounds. Once he was done, Atreus finally opened his eyes and groaned in pain.
"What happened to you?" Methodios asked.
"More questions?" Atreus responded weakly, he was in great pain but he could still talk. It would take a while for his wounds to heal completely. "You were asleep for a long time." He began, "Day was turning into night, so I considered waking you up, but then I was attacked before I got the chance."
"How come I wasn't taken with you once you were captured?" Methodios asked.
Atreus showed a weak smile and said, "I killed at least 5 of them, it took 5 more to finally pin me down and knock me unconscious."
Methodios was stunned, there were 10 attacking him, and he killed 5 of them with a bow? This guy really was amazing.
"I was able to see them coming before they were close enough to do damage with a sword." Atreus continued, "I killed 3 before they came to close to shoot with a bow, so I dropped my bow and used my sword to kill two more, then they cut me up badly."
"It's ok, you don't need to say anymore, just rest and heal for now." Methodios said. If they were going to get out of this alive, they needed their strength. So once again, Methodios put his head down on the hard wooden floor, and fell asleep.

short stories
I plan to think of ideas for writing/typing a story. My stories will include fiction and if I work hard enough, I may write an entire story.
